I was interested in imagery from an early age, you know the expression 'A picture speaks a thousand words'? I became aware of media manipulation by the time I was eight years old but had a hard time dealing with it, so I shied away from the world in general. I traveled a lot from 18 through 26 and then returned to my home city to go to art college.
After that I worked as an illustrator, mural artist, graphic designer and photographer for a few years until a very bad thing happened....
...and after twenty years in the wilderness I came home. Now I am painting again and that 'Mark' that I used to be is back with a vengeance.
I am looking forward to the next few years. Although I live with the absolute knowledge and acceptance of the fact that I am not as good as I would like to be, I still am grateful that I got into Art and painting. It is to me possible the most human of all our attributes :)
